Tales from the Animal World
Do monkeys talk? Do elephants share secrets? Can tigers tell tales? The Jataka Tales with its talking animals has inspired folklore and narratives all around the world. These innovative stories originated from the Buddha’s teachings in the Bihar region. Children will be captivated by these tales, which they can hear at the press of a button, from monitors embedded into rocky caves of the Children’s Gallery. There is also a mural that shows monkeys, deer, crocodiles, an elephant and many creatures of the forest. Come to the Children’s Gallery Tiger and Jataka tales exhibit!
