The Talking Parakeet
I am a noisy bird full of chatter and I have a cap of pink, also called blossom, on my head. My male parakeet friend is very handsome too and aside of the pink cap, he also wears a slim black collar around his neck. Just because we are so attractive, human beings often catch us and keep us in cages. In vain, we speak and whistle at our captors to let us go. Instead, they just laugh and find it all the more amusing that we are now talking to them!
I do not want to be in a cage. I want to live freely on trees with other parakeets. There are fewer and fewer of us in the wild just because we get caught. We birds treasure our freedom.
Find out about us blossom headed parakeets in Bihar Museum. Our future depends on all of you children.
