There is a story of Kartikeya in Skandapurana. Kartikeya is one of the most beautiful and graceful deities. He is a red god seated on a blue peacock, and his weapon, a spear, is engraved on the left of the sculpture. Kartikey is seated on the peacock, wearing a necklace with a Tigher's nail and amulet.
